Carbohydrates
Carbohydrate's main function is to build structure and store energy. The monomers in carbohydrates are sugars. There are two different types of carbohydrates: Simple carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates make simple sugars and are produced of glucose and its polymers. The simple sugars are called monosaccharides.Monosaccharies are the building blocks of disaccharides and polysaccharides. Starch and Dietary fibers are also both complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates is a chemical structure made up of three or more different sugars.
