Proteins
A protein is polymer that is made of monomers called amino acids, which is the main building block of this macromolecule. Amino acids are smaller molecules made up of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur.
The number of proteins produced depends on the number of amino acids used. A proteins main function is enzymes structure, receptors, transport and production, and a proteins function depends on the order of amino acids. The groups of each acid affects the proteins shape.
